- Abstract
The Ozark Highlands Ecoregion in the United States occurs in portions of four states (Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri). There are 33 species found here, in 13 genera and four families (Acanthodrilidae, Lumbricidae, Megascolecidae and Sparganophilidae). Eighteen of the species are native (endemic) to North America; all others are European or Oriental (exotic) introductions. A description of the ecoregion and a colour photograph are also included.
