- Title
Cancer-related PTS linked to very limited cognitive impairment among newly diagnosed BC patients.
- Abstract
The article reports on a study which indicated a link between cancer-related post-traumatic stress and very limited cognitive impairment prior to treatment among newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. An analysis of data from 166 breast cancer patients and 60 matched controls showed very limited cognitive impairment in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients that was largely attributable to post-traumatic stress. The results emphasize the vulnerability of cognitive function in such patients.
