- Authors
Bittner, Robert; Miller, Henry "Cody"; Pennell, Summer Melody
- Abstract
The article draws on queer disability studies, queer theology, and critical youth studies to analyze themes of conversion therapy in the young adult novels "The Miseducation of Cameron Post," "Orpheus Girl," "Ziggy, Stardust & Me," and "Surrender Your Sons." It discusses how religious conflict and conversion therapy practices are enacted on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) youth to control their personal identities and their physical bodies.
