- Abstract
The Macedonian IT sector, characterized by rapid growth and a young workforce, presents unique challenges and opportunities. Processes related to voluntary employee turnover are a significant concern for organizations, as they have been proven to negatively affect productivity, performance, profitability, and overall organizational effectiveness. This study examines how job satisfaction, career opportunities, organizational culture, and organizational commitment impact employees' decisions to leave. To explore these factors, semi-structured interviews were conducted with HR Managers from various Macedonian IT companies. Findings highlight the critical role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment in mitigating turnover intentions, alongside the importance of creating career advancement opportunities and a supportive organizational culture. This analysis underscores the need for tailored retention strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational stability in the Macedonian IT industry, ultimately contributing to sustained growth and competitiveness.
