- Abstract
Тhe Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the U.S. Department of State presents to the Congress several thousand pages of written material on the human rights situation in almost 200 countries in the world, the so-called "Human Rights Practices". The paper "Annual Reports on Human Rights of the US Department of State for North Macedonia" presents a summary of data, as well as a comparative analysis of the annual reports that concerns the vitaly important field of human rights. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the developments related to human rights and democracy in North Macedonia, how they evolved, which trajectory was followed, as well as the positive and negative trends of these developments. By analyzing the findings of a relevant international institution such as the U.S. Department of State and the reality based on the facts that emerge from this research, I hope that this paper creates a useful material for the human rights corpus, a field that deserves to be explored with a considerable attention in the future.
