- Abstract
This scientific work entitled: The importance, tasks and principles of criminal Traseology, aims to explain the importance of the traseology as part of criminalistics and its value for studying trace evidence in the crime scene, as well as their probative value in crime detection, their origin and their value in crime scene reconstruction. Another goal is how to examine some of the most common types of trace evidence to be faced more often in cases of crime investigations and to discuss the concepts of collection, preservation, identification and their use in crime investigations. The final aim of this work is the story of the history and origin of development and understanding of the word traseology, and the explanation of its scientific value of the Locard theory of exchange; Locard believed that whenever two objects came into contact with one another, materials from the first would be transferred to the second, and materials from the second would be transferred to the first.
