- Abstract
The article looks at the significant events that happened in 2020 which are of interest to historians. They include the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in the deaths of some 1,173,189 worldwide, the Black Lives Matter protests which alerted people to longstanding racism and prejudice, and the U.S. presidential election. Other developments from around the world include political unrest in Hong Kong, Ivory Coast, and Belarus.
