- Title
The United States and Israel at 60 Years.
- Authors
Johnson, Robert David
- Abstract
The article focuses on the political and diplomatic relation between the U.S. and Israel. Accordingly, the British withdrawal from its Palestinian mandate has forced the U.S. to confront the question of a possible Jewish state. Moreover, the John F. Kennedy, Andrew Johnson, and Richard Nixon's administration has established the foundations of the modern U.S.-Israeli strategic partnership. Moreover, close cultural relations between the two societies had existed since 1948, largely due to the connections fostered by American Jews.
