- Abstract
This article discusses a case study involving the prenatal detection and neonatal surgical resection of a giant aneurysm in the left atrial appendage of a fetus. The study highlights the feasibility of prenatal diagnosis and emphasizes the importance of timely assessment and treatment in the early postpartum period. The use of multimodal imaging is also emphasized for accurate characterization of the appendage and optimal surgical planning. The article concludes by noting that giant aneurysms in the left atrial appendage are rare and potentially associated with thromboembolism.
