- Abstract
The article presents the views of the author on the experiences of Japanese executives assigned to work in the U.S. The author recognizes language as the number one barrier in U.S.-Japanese relations in the workplace. He added that executives new to the country may be equivocal because they cannot articulate what they want to do. When this is the case Japanese managers often face challenges in whether they can display the courage and confidence to express their opinions with foreigners.
