- Abstract
A literary criticism for the book "The Female Quixote" by Charlotte Lennox is presented. It notes that the book is all about living in a society as a specifically literate activity. This criticism focuses on how protagonist Arabella was able to construct the subjectivity of a reader. The author states that "The Female Quixote" was able to exposed the gendered rhetoric of the dominant discourse by using both romance and novel.
