Re-Union: How Bold Labor Reforms Can Repair, Revitalize, and Reunite the United States My categorization of the work on union revitalization may seem somewhat cynical but, as a long-time union activist and labour academic, it is hard to see what impact books on labour reform have had on unions and workers. Madland explains why he feels that unions will spur political and economic change by pursuing what he describes as the bottom-up power of pure and simple unionism while also adopting what he calls new labour systems.
