- Abstract
This article aims to connect - albeit lightly yet in a personal way - Ottoman feminist publishing and academic publishing today. After talking about Ottoman feminist publishing, the public sphere it created and its meaning to different ethnic groups, I will chronologically list and partially introduce the republican journals that can be evaluated within the limits of this aforementioned public sphere. The presence of queer journals and the journals about masculinities especially in the passage to academic publishing is especially noteworthy. Finally, electronic publishing seems to be the latest medium for feminist publishing - like it is for publishing in general. This paper goes on to list some of the popular and not-so- popular blogs, and dwells on the connections between technology, publishing, gender and the public sphere.
