The article presents a case study of a 51-year-old male with multiple symptomatic oral mucosal lesions. He was a heavy smoker and tested and has a chronic hepatitis C infection. A topical antifungal medication was used to treat the lesions which appear as whitish plaques. The patient was diagnosed as having syphilis.
