CONFIRMATION OF AWARD--AAA COMMERCIAL RULE 18--ARBITRATOR'S DUTY TO DISCLOSE.
- Abstract
This section analyzes a court's decision in the arbitration case Wanda Petroleum Co. v. Mac Drilling Inc., which was filed in Louisiana in 1977. In a proceeding to confirm an arbitration award, the court held that questions concerning violation of the American Arbitration Association rules were without foundation and irrelevant where the aggrieved party failed to offer the rules into evidence.
