- Abstract
The article examines the depiction of Jewish Mexicans in Mexican documentary films, produced in the 1990s and 2000s. Sandro Halphen's film "Ocho candelas" features Mexican Jews who, born Catholic, find themselves attracted to Judaism after exploring their own Jewish ancestral culture, marriage to Jewish spouses, or their searches for a spiritual home. Daniel Goldberg's films "Un beso a esta tierra" and "En los pasos de Abraham," focuses on an immigration story around voyage and background.
