- Abstract
The article discusses a novel technique called the inverted internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap on viscoelastic-coated retinal surface (IFOV) technique for the treatment of macular holes. The technique involves manipulating the ILM flap under a dispersive ophthalmic viscoelastic device (DOVD) for easy and stable flap manipulation. The study included 14 eyes of 13 patients who underwent the IFOV technique, and the results showed a high success rate in macular hole closure and improved visual acuity. The authors suggest that the IFOV technique is a promising option for vitreoretinal surgeons.
