Samuel L. Leiter.
Abstract
A biography of Samuel L. Leiter, scholar, is presented. He was born in 1940, and grew in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at the Brooklyn College. He staged productions of works, including "Little Clay Cart," "Terakoya," and "Our Town". His exposure to Japanese theatre was useful, when he directed kabuki-inspired, "The Caucasian Chalk Circle". He also contributed to Asian theatre scholarship.
