- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the existence of inverted sentences in a child literature book called "Gülibik", which has literary quality. For this reason, the sentences in the book called "Gülibik" were investigated with content analysis technique. The number of the sentences determined in the book is exactly 997. The findings revealed that the number of inverted sentences in the book is 400 (about 40 %) while the number of regular sentences in the book is 597 (60.12 %). According to the findings, the mostly mentioned genre in the inverted sentences in the book called "Gülibik" after the verbs is noun with 49.15 % (N=262). "Pronoun" 105, "adverb" 86, "adjective" 46, "particle" 29, "interjection" 5 follows this, respectively. Moreover, according to the number of items in the sentences, there are mostly "the sentence with one item" with 305 (%76.25). After that, there are mostly "the sentence with two item" with 67, "the sentence with three item" with 18, and "the sentence with four item" with 10, respectively. In conclusion, the use of regular sentences and inverted sentences together provides more effective expression. The language of the book is used approximate to oral language with inverted sentences. In other words, inverted sentences narration, text, effectively increasing the value of the feeling made it. An expression of preference after the action brought words, the text has added a different mood and thoughts. Thus, it can be concluded that the feelings and ideas that are desired to be sensed saved the expression from monotony from the syntactic aspect with the use of inverted sentences in the expression. This situation has greatly affected the structure of the narrative power.
