- Abstract
The article reports on a collaborative reading project initiated by teacher librarian Patricia Vermillion and fourth grade literacy teacher Jody Stout at Lamplighter School, an independent school serving students from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade in Dallas, Texas. Topics discussed include identification of goals that promote incentives for students to read, peer engagement and interaction, and the project's success in improving the students' reading comprehension and vocabulary.
