- Title
Qualitative Research Provides Insight into Quantitative Quality of Life Measurement.
- Authors
SERBER, EVA R.; ROSEN, ROCHELLE K.
- Abstract
The authors discuss the difficulty of measuring quality of life (QoL) as opposed to health-related QoL and how QoL depends on the perceptions of those doing the measurements as well as those being measured. She commends the use of grounded theory by C. Hallas and colleagues to explore QoL in their article in this issue "Pre-ICD illness beliefs affect post-implant perceptions of control and patient-quality of life."
