- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 51-year-old Caucasian woman with fatigue and fever for four days. A positive lymphoid B cell infiltration and a lymphoproliferative disorder were noted after multiple myeloma bone marrow aspiration biopsy. A diagnosis of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, a B cell lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma, was made. The patient was in complete remission after six months of treatment with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone.
