- Authors

- Abstract
The authors discuss a study by V. Anaparti et al on changes in DNA methylation in the major histocompatibility (MHC) of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients from a population of indigenous North Americans. Topics include some of the factors that can influence DNA methylation such as infection and drugs and the study's finding on differential methylation position in the MHC after comparing anticitrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA)-positive RA patients with their matched ACPA-negative relatives.
