- Title
Netherlands rabies case highlights importance of following pet travel rules.
- Abstract
The article offers information on a paper that discusses how a rabid puppy was brought to the Netherlands by a Dutch couple from Morocco via Spain. It says that the puppy was examined by a local veterinarian who issued a certificate of good health, brought to Spain through ferry, where a veterinary clinic gave them a pet passport, and then was brought to the Netherlands. However, the puppy was later found to be infected by rabies and international legislations were not followed properly.
