The article discusses hearsay evidence from children in relation to civil domestic violence proceedings in Florida as of September 2013, focusing on the state's Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the admission of out-of-court statements made by specific types of children under Section 90.803(23) of the Florida Statutes. Exceptions to hearsay are addressed, along with the reliability of evidence in Florida, child testimony, and a test for unavailability under Florida law.
