- Abstract
The article discusses the turnover of the three hundred and sixty-four photographs as gifts by the Department of Geological Sciences of Harvard University to George Eastman House Inc. that has greatly enriched Eastman's print collection. Accordingly, it cites that the Harvard gift was a gift of extraordinary quality. In addition, it says that the photographs in the gift is important for they represent the work of several prominent photographers including William H. Jackson, Timothy H. O'Sullivan, and C. E. Watkins as well as J. K. Hillers. Moreover, Eastman House held a special exhibition to celebrate the Harvard gift entitled "Landscape: William H. Jackson, Timothy H. O'Sullivan."
