The article presents a case study of a 55-year-old man suffering from hematuria, proteinuria, and acute renal failure. The clinical diagnosis of the patient revealed a rare chronic granulomatous inflammatory disorder called malakoplakia. A defect in the lysosomal activity after phagocytosis of the bacteria and altered tissue response may is said to play a significant role in this disorder.
