The article present the author's comments to alleviate tax burden on exonerees. The author advocates to make exonerated prisoners free from paying income tax from compensation paid to them under the section 104(a)(2) exclusion. The author makes his point by exploring reality of life of an exonerated prisoner and provides relevant tax concepts as applied to exoneree compensation.
