- Abstract
The authors discuss the rationale behind the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project (PCGP) genome sequencing initiative of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Genome Institute at the Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. They present the results of the project which identifies the landscape of somatic mutations that drive pediatric cancer and how these will impact the practice of genomic sequencing. They also note the factors involved in the study of cancer genomics.
