- Abstract
The article discusses research being done on the link between nurse staffing and the use of physical restraints. It references the study "Nursing Skill Mix: Nurse Staffing Level, and Physical Restraint Use in U.S. Hospitals: A Longitudinal Study," by V. Staggs et al. in the 2016 issue of the "Journal of General and Internal Medicine." The variables considered include the use of quarterly data on restraint use with hospital nurse staffing, patient demographics and the attitude of physicians.
