The article discusses the justification of the rights in the language education in the U.S. Topics discussed include the development to retrench the multiculturalism as public policy through the arguments regarding cosmopolitan educational approach, the arguments by political theorists David Laitin and Rob Reich on the learning which can be obtained by children from bilingual education, and the importance of language to state citizenship and national identity.
