- Title
A College Student By Any Other Name.
- Abstract
This article discusses the results of a study conducted by Market Source Corporation, a company that markets products to college students, about the lifestyle of college students as of 1990. Market Source discovered that 53 percent of college students use videocassette recorders; 22 percent own a compact disc player and 96.5 percent listen to radio. Microwave ovens are also extraordinarily popular among the college crowd. Electronic equipment vies with such standard necessities as laundry baskets, popcorn makers and plants for limited space in college-bound cars. The survey also revealed an interesting fact about college eating habits. Both male and female students identified potato, corn and cheese-flavored chips as their favorite snack food staple.
