- Abstract
The article discusses the aspects of alternative energy developments in the American Indian Country and tries to find that what actually hinders this development, the tribal governments or the federal regulations. It first analyses stand of tribal governments and their citizens, who oppose to any energy development on their lands while emphasizing the importance of their consultation before taking any decisions and citing a case. It then examines the federal barriers to such developments.
