- Abstract
Physiotherapy was previously debated because it could favour micro-fractures of the heterotopic bone causing further soft-tissue injuries.[8] However, it is currently recommended because it helps maintain joint range of motion.[9] Surgery is the most effective treatment. Dear Editor, Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) is a life-threatening mucocutaneous condition, generally drug-induced. The patient underwent surgical excision of the HOs of the two elbows followed by passive and active post-operative physiotherapy.
