- Abstract
A letter to Reverend Dr. Max Lilienthal from Hebrews of Oroville acting secretary E. A. Kusel, reporting about the visit of Reverend. Dr. A. J. Messing, rabbi of the Congregation Beth Israel of San Francisco, California, is presented. The stated purpose of the vision is to collect money for a Hebrew free school in San Francisco, and for the establishment of a Sabbath school for Jewish children. The minutes of the first meeting of the Hebrews of Oroville with Rabbi Messing is outlined.
