Abstract
The article reports that Eberspacher GmbH and its Novi, Michigan-based American subsidiary have developed a technology that regulates engine noise. It replaces a muffler with a speaker inserted into the exhaust system. According to Eberspacher, the vehicle's exhaust system could be transformed to meet consumer preferences. It mentions that Lotus Engineering introduced a system for hybrid cars that places loudspeakers in front of radiator and projects the appropriate noise for the engine.
