- Abstract
This article discusses the trends in food allergen immunotherapy (FA-AIT) in Korea following changes in national regulations. The officially approved FA-AIT in Korea is oral immunotherapy (OIT) using heated milk/egg, while in the United States and Europe, peanut OIT using standardized products is approved. FA-AIT should be administered by specialist physicians with experience in managing severe allergic reactions. The article also highlights the lack of official Korean academic guidelines for FA-AIT and the differences in FA-AIT regulations and clinical practices among countries.
