- Abstract
Aiming at the problem of extractant degradation caused by nitrate and nitrite in the leaching solution(PLS) during copper extraction, the use of sulfamic acid to anti-nitrification of hydroxime extractants was studied. The results show that adding sulfamic acid to PLS or stripping solution containing NO3-or NO2-can reduce the degradation rate of the extractant. Under the condition of sulfamic acid mass concentration in the aqueous solution of about 0. 005 g/L, the nitrification/nitrosation of the extractant hardly occurred. Under the condition of sulfamic acid mass concentration of lower than 0. 1 g/L, the extractant does not degrade in any form, indicating that sulfamic acid has no adverse effect on the stability of hydroxamate extractant. In the extraction-electrodeposition cycle test, if NO3-is contained in PLS, sulfamic acid addition method has different effects on the degradation of extractant. At the same time, sulfamic acid is added to PLS and electrolyte, the degradation rate of extractant is the lowest (0. 09%), and the effect is good.
