- Title
Joint Simulation of Truck Crane Boom Based on APDL and Matlab.
- Abstract
The telescopic boom of a truck crane is an important load-bearing component, which also determines the overall lifting capacity. Due to the existence of multiple telescopic combinations, the finite element calculation model of the telescopic boom changes with the telescopic combination, which makes the telescopic boom analysis harder. By using the data processing software Matlab as a pre-processing tool, a text file containing the structural dimensional parameters of the telescopic boom and the positional parameters of the boom joints in each telescopic combination is output. At the same time, based on Ansys parametric design language (APDL),a parametric finite element model and analysis process of the telescopic boom are established. By reading the text file data, rapid calculation of the boom strength is achieved, and the rated lifting capacity under specified working conditions is calculated using the proportional iterative method. By using the joint simulation of APDL and Matlab, the efficiency of finite element analysis is greatly improved while ensuring the calculation accuracy.
