- Abstract
The general aim of this research is; To determine the motivation levels of preschool teachers and to determine the relevant variables. The universe of the research consists of pre-school teachers working in Istanbul Küçükçekmece District. The research was carried out on 196 teachers determined by convenience sampling method. Research data were collected using the survey method. In the first part of the questionnaire, which consists of two parts, there are questions to determine the descriptive characteristics of teachers. The second part of the questionnaire included the teacher motivation scale. Evaluation of the data obtained from the questionnaires was done in computer environment. Frequency and percentage were used to analyze the descriptive characteristics of teachers, and average standard deviation statistics were used to determine teacher motivations. The t-test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, and the One-way Anova test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. The findings were evaluated at the 95% confidence interval at the 5% significance level. As a result of the research, it was found that the motivation levels of preschool teachers are quite high, and there are differences in motivation levels according to professional experience and the number of students in the classroom.
