- Abstract
The article offers information on the randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of adjunctive pharmacologic treatments in schizophrenia have been inconsistent and often difficult to interpret because of poor quality. It mentions RCTs found moderate benefit of add-on antidepressants for overall symptom reduction in individuals with schizophrenia; and also mentions the combination of clozapine and aripiprazole was associated with the greatest reduction in hospitalization.
