- Abstract
The article explores the legal problems encountered by people wishing to maintain anonymity on the internet. It discusses several U.S. Supreme Court cases dealing with anonymity including Talley v. California, Watchtower Bible v. Stratton, and McIntyre v. Ohio Elections Commission. It presents the legal processes and procedures used to reveal anonymous internet defendants (AID). It provides recommendations as potential improvements to alleviate some of the harm inflicted on AID.
