- Abstract
The article focuses on the decision of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California in the case Duncan v. Becerra and address the question of whether or not the federal Assault Weapons Ban of 2019. It mentions the U.S. Supreme Court dramatically altered the landscape of Second Amendment jurisprudence with its decisions in District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago. It also mentions Second Amendment challenge to an assault weapons ban.
