Abstract
The article discusses friendship of American linguist Kenneth E. Naylor, Jr. with Slavic linguists particularly with Macedonian poet Blaže Koneski. Topics explored include the regular participation of Naylor in the annual Seminar for Macedonian Language Literature and Culture, the significant contributions of Koneski to Macedonian literature, and the publication of Koneski's poem "Song to My Black Brother," which he wrote after Naylor's death.
