- Title
El acto del duelo, el duelo como acto.
- Authors
LUTEREAU, LUCIANO
- Abstract
The starting point of this article is the Lacanian reading of Hamlet in Desire and its interpretation, which describes the function of mourning as a fundamental operation: cardinal support of the act. From there, it is recognized that the acting out of the mourning can lead to the initiation of an analysis, as the famous case of M. Little's Frieda shows. After some general considerations regarding mourning and making explicit some of the elements of that reading, the article analyzes the aforementioned case in order to clarify a clinical sequence that makes it possible to formulate a hypothesis: mourning is not necessarily the ending operation of an analysis; it may be its beginning.
