- Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of focus of attention (external, internal) on peripheral transfer of basketball dribbling.. In this study, 60 elementary school students with age(11.7±4) were randomly divided into four groups. Considering the attentional-focus instruction, they performed basketball dribbling with their dominant and non-dominant hands (with regard to their group) for eight weeks (31 sessions). The results showed that the instruction of interlimb transfer was carried out in both external and internal focus of attention by both dominant and non-dominant hands. Also, external focus of attention significantly facilitated interlimb transfer more than internal focus of attention (P≥0.05).
