Conversi, Daniele
- Abstract
The article discusses the contribution of political science professor Walker Connor to the study of nationalism and whether economic growth can lead to nation building. Connor reportedly coined the term ethnonationalism keeping in view that various forms of nationalism are intrinsically ethnic. Connor felt that economic growth and industrial expansion result in political elites gaining sense of buoyant arrogance.
