- Abstract
The article examines the significance of management in real estate investments. The author discusses the historical views on property management and the components of real estate returns. The author states that one major source of inefficiency in real estate is the apparent misunderstanding of the role and function of professional property management in making investment decisions. The author also states that property managers have retained an unfavorable image over the years. The article also discusses the effect of variables on present values and internal rates of returns.
