- Abstract
Localized scleroderma (LSc) or morphoea is an autoimmune inflammatory disorder of the skin and underlying tissues, such as subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone, resulting in extensive fibrosis and irreversible deformity. (d) Vacuolar degeneration in the basal cell layer and (e) single cell necrosis in the squamous cell layer were seen (arrows); photos correspond to the areas surrounded with dotted squares in (c).
