- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of ground-based scanning radar systems to understand the structure of snowstorm in the northeast part off the U.S. Topics discussed include the use of High-Performance Instrumented Airborne Platform for Environmental Research (HIAPER) Cloud Radar to determine wave motion and boundary layer circulation of cyclones, the use of Doppler radar for snowstorm measurement, and the use of Kuband and dual-polarization radar.
